Configuring Linksys Wireless G phone


The setup of a Linksys wireless G phone is similiar to any other internal IP extension. Follow the steps below for an easy installation:
1. In the TS configuration software select Local Extensions/Fax.
2. Select an avialable IP extention for configuration (e.g. 155).
3. Add First Name & Last Name
4. Type of Phone select Other IP Phone
5. Location select Internal
6. Type in a Username and Password.
7. Call Handling set up at the bottom should be done as well like any other IP phone configuration.
8. Select File Save when done.
9 Confirm the IP address of the TS by going to IP Configuration and noting the internal IP address.

On the Linksys Wireless G Phone do the following:
1. Take the phone out of the box insert the battery and connect to charger for at least 12 hrs.
2. Once fully charge turn the phone on and let it boot up. Once its up select menu and then highlight wireless and press the enter key (enter key is the big button in the middle of the selection button.)
3. The phone will scan for wireless networks once its done select your wireless network and put in the appropriate security key and connect to your wireless network.
4. Once that is completed, press the return button. At the main menu select SIP Settings.
5. Use the selection button to move to each field then press edit. Input your informtion hit the center button to save and go to the next one. You will fillin the following information:
Proxy IP = Talkswitch Internal IP Address
Proxy Port = 5060
Register Proxy IP = Talkswitch Internal IP
Register Proxy Port = 5060
Outbound Proxy IP = Talkswitch Internal IP
Outbound Proxy Port = 5060
Phone Number = Exention that was configured 155
User Name = Same user name that was configured in talkswitch
Password = Same password that was configured in Talkswitch
UDP port = 5060
RTP port = 6000

Save that configuration and reboot the phone. Once rebooted connect to the wireless network and make a test call to a local extension it should be working at that time.

Troubleshooting:
1. If the phone will not connect to the wireless network confirm settings and retry. Or contact your Network Administrator
2. If you place a call and it hangs up immediatly then go to the talkswitch software select Troubleshooting-->Extensions-->IP Extensions and confirm that the Starting SIP port is 5060 and the starting UDP port is 6000.
3. If it still is not working call Neobits Technical Support at 408-530-0063 x119 for further assistance (if you purchased the wireless g phone from Neobits).
