Home → Talkswitch → Ring group now shows with caller ID - great feature
|
You can now tell not only who is calling, but what they're calling about. Example, a caller dials 1 for sales (associated with 301), or dials 301. This is setup as a ring group. Phones that are part of that ring group (that are available) will ring, and in addition to caller ID, their phone will show the ring group number 301. (If calls are queued or set to call waiting the ring group number will not be displayed.) Example of using this in practice: We used this feature for the summer upgrade promotion. We advertised and asked customers to dial ext. 305 to learn more about the promotion. The sales team would see 305 part of the caller ID and knew it was a call for upgrades. We then used the CDR - call detail record logging feature to build a report on how many people called for the promo. NOTE: The CDR application is a great feature and can be used for so many applications. It can be used to monitor the sales staff and all activity. |
