Echo on networked 48CAs

We have two 48CAs networked together with all of our incoming analog lines on one unit. Quality from extensions on the unit with the incoming lines is fine, but there is an echo on extensions on the other unit. I have tried networking with both switches and crossover cable, calibrating the lines, and adjusting audio gain up and down with no luck. It seems the best network situation I could have would be the crossover cable and that didn't help. If I switch the incoming lines to the other unit, then the echo switches to those extensions. Software is the latest. Frustrating.
