OTTAWA, ON â€" November 28, 2006 â€" TalkSwitch®, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of innovative telephone systems for small and multi-location businesses, today announced two new additions to its line of award-winning PBX telephone systems. The 280VS and the 284VS are fully hybrid IP PBXs that accommodate two incoming telephone lines and provide eight local extensions that the user can configure as IP or analog, and ten remote extensions. The 284VS also includes support for four VoIP trunks.

The VS series joins the existing family of TalkSwitch phone systems that includes the 24-CA, 48-CA and the VoIP-equipped 48-CVA. Customers can now choose from five different systems that provide a variety of incoming line and extension options coupled with all of the features and functionality a small business needs.

“These new systems nicely augment the existing family of TalkSwitch telephone systems,” said Jan Scheeren, President and CEO, TalkSwitch. “They use only two incoming phone lines, helping customers reduce monthly expenses, while still providing the rich features and customer-friendly design that characterize all TalkSwitch systems. And we’ve made them available at a price that is unprecedented for a fully hybrid IP PBX. TalkSwitch has become the most respected name in small business telephony because we consistently deliver great value. These VS products continue that tradition.”

The new systems are ideal for small businesses, smart homes and franchise operations that want a feature-rich telephone system with a large number of extensions, but with minimal investment in incoming telephone lines. They also provide access to IP technology at a great price. And they protect the customer’s investment because they are networkable, meaning the system will grow right along with the business.

“Very small businesses are traditionally underserved by technology vendors and normally you don't think of them adopting cutting edge technologies like IP telephony. However, these businesses are increasingly needing robust communications solutions, as the SMB workforce is increasingly mobile and distributed,” said Gary Chen, Yankee Group Analyst in Enterprise Research â€" Small and Medium Enterprise IT Infrastructure and Applications. “The challenge in this segment is not to sell them cool technology, but something that is drop dead simple, flexible, very affordable, and that has real business benefits.”

VS products can be easily networked with each other, or with TalkSwitch 48-CA or 48-CVA units. They come with the recently announced TalkSwitch software version 4.0, so customers can configure local extensions to be either analog or IP, allowing them to customize the system to fit their needs.
For TalkSwitch resellers, this provides added flexibility. Not only do they have additional systems to offer, they have even more configuration and phone set options when designing a custom system for their clients.

Like all TalkSwitch telephone systems, the 280VS and the 284VS are available through Neobits.

TalkSwitch Upgrades Customers to Free IP Extensions

Neobits, Inc.

TalkSwitch® Upgrades Customers to Free IP Extensions with Software Release 4.0
TalkSwitch becomes first to let small businesses create their own mix of IP and analog local extensions

OTTAWA, ON â€" November 28, 2006 â€" TalkSwitch®, an industry leader in the design and manufacture of innovative telephone systems for small and multi-location businesses, today announced the release of TalkSwitch configuration software version 4.0, a significant upgrade that increases the functionality and flexibility of all TalkSwitch systems.

Available as a free download, release 4.0 offers a number of important additions to the TalkSwitch feature set. Most significantly, local extensions on TalkSwitch systems can now be enabled as either analog or IP, converting those systems to fully hybrid IP PBXs. Users are able to set the mix of IP and analog extensions they want, allowing them to customize the system to fit their specific business needs.

“This release is a major milestone for our company and our customers,” said Jan Scheeren, President and CEO, TalkSwitch. “TalkSwitch is the only company on the market to give its small business customers complete freedom to set its mix of analog and IP local extensions, and its mix of PSTN and VoIP trunks. TalkSwitch handles those configurations equally. It is a major breakthrough in choice, and in flexibility for the small business market.”

Existing TalkSwitch customers can get the new IP extension capability in minutes, and new customers choosing TalkSwitch will benefit from a system that offers even more value than before. For companies looking to migrate to an all-IP communications environment, being able to use IP extensions with TalkSwitch makes for a smooth evolutionary path.

In addition to enabling IP extensions, release 4.0 adds a number of other features designed to improve and streamline user communications. E-mail notification of new voicemail messages, including sending the voicemail as a .wav file for playback, has been added, and the number of remote extensions on each unit has been increased to 10. A programmable holiday mode scheduler that provides unique call handling settings for specific dates has also been added.

Existing TalkSwitch customers can download the new release by visiting www.talkswitch.com/support. New TalkSwitch systems will come preloaded with the software.

December 17 2006, 06:16 PM

Neobits, Inc.

TalkSwitch systems are interoperable with IP phones from Polycom, Grandstream and others.
Ring group now shows with caller ID - great feature

Neobits, Inc.

You can now tell not only who is calling, but what they're calling about.

Example, a caller dials 1 for sales (associated with 301), or dials 301. This is setup as a ring group. Phones that are part of that ring group (that are available) will ring, and in addition to caller ID, their phone will show the ring group number 301. (If calls are queued or set to call waiting the ring group number will not be displayed.)

Example of using this in practice:
We used this feature for the summer upgrade promotion. We advertised and asked customers to dial ext. 305 to learn more about the promotion. The sales team would see 305 part of the caller ID and knew it was a call for upgrades. We then used the CDR - call detail record logging feature to build a report on how many people called for the promo.

NOTE: The CDR application is a great feature and can be used for so many applications. It can be used to monitor the sales staff and all activity.

JAN-PRO Selects TalkSwitch as Preferred Provider

Neobits, Inc.

JAN-PRO Franchising International® Selects TalkSwitch® as Preferred Telephone System Provider

TalkSwitch brings professional call handling to industry-leading corporate cleaning operation with 5,000 locations

OTTAWA, ON - August 10, 2006 - TalkSwitch®, a company specializing in the design and manufacture of innovative voice systems for small and multi-location businesses, today announced that JAN-PRO Franchising International Inc., a commercial cleaning operation that was recently ranked the third fastest growing franchise in North America, has designated TalkSwitch as its preferred vendor of telephone systems for its franchises.

TalkSwitch systems will be marketed to JAN-PRO's 5,000 individual franchise locations across North America, beginning with its 85 Master Dealers. Each Master Dealer is responsible for selling and overseeing individual franchises within a specific geographic area. Deployment of TalkSwitch systems is already successfully underway.

DecisionOne®, recently announced as a Certified TalkSwitch Installer, will handle installation and support services for franchises requiring assistance in deploying TalkSwitch systems.

"JAN-PRO has been consistently recognized as one of today's top franchise operations," said Jan Scheeren, President and CEO, TalkSwitch. "They are a great example of the type of multi-location organization that can really benefit from using TalkSwitch products. Our systems will give franchise operators the ability to communicate efficiently and affordably, helping to improve the bottom line while also increasing the level of customer service."

With TalkSwitch, franchise operators like JAN-PRO are able to install a telephone system that can evolve and grow with their company, as well as a system that allows them to migrate to Voice over IP (VoIP) should they choose. Moving to VoIP gives franchisees the opportunity to eliminate long distance charges - using three-digit dialing between locations - along with other cost saving benefits.

"TalkSwitch understands what it means to be a small business," said Dennis Thompson, Vice President, JAN-PRO. "They understand that our franchise operators need a reliable phone system that will help them improve efficiency, customer service and ensure they never miss a call. TalkSwitch systems do just that. They have a well-earned reputation in the industry and we think they'll prove to be tremendously valuable to our franchisees."

Each TalkSwitch telephone system comes loaded with a host of features well suited to a franchise setting. Those features include built-in auto attendants that answer incoming calls with consistent messaging and efficiently route callers to the appropriate extension, built-in voicemail, intelligent remote extensions that ensure franchise operators never miss a call - even when they're on the road - and music/messaging on hold.

TalkSwitch systems are available with traditional telephone network connections or with combined traditional and VoIP network connections. VoIP capabilities can be added later to the traditional systems. TalkSwitch systems start as small as two incoming telephone lines with four local extensions, and can be increased to a maximum system size of 16 incoming lines with 32 local extensions per office.
